Why Your Lash Bond Isn't Working (And It's Probably Not the Bond)
If your lash extensions are coming loose after just a day or two, the bond usually isn't the problem: the way it was applied, or what happened after, is.
Bond holds. Seal keeps it there.
Bond and seal do two different jobs. Bond is what attaches the lash to your natural lash line. Seal locks that bond in place and removes any lingering tackiness, protecting it from oil, sweat, and moisture.
With seal: lashes last 5-7+ days
Without seal: lashes last 3-4 days, and can feel tacky or insecure
Skipping the seal step, or using one that's past its best, is one of the most common reasons lashes don't last as long as they should.
Getting the bond right
Application matters just as much as the product itself.
Too much bond: Applying too much makes it wet instead of tacky, which makes lashes harder to apply and segments won't stick properly because the bond stays wet and never sets.
The right amount: Gently dab on a small amount of bond. It should feel tacky, not wet. Your lashes shouldn't clump together; a little goes a long way, and each segment should grip your natural lashes effortlessly.
Don't skip the seal
Seal isn't optional. It protects the bond, removes tackiness, and helps keep lashes securely in place. Applying bond without sealing it is a bit like gluing something and never letting it cure: it's more likely to come loose early.
Check the age of your bond & seal
If your Bond & Seal feels clumpy, dry, or watery, it's time for a new one, regardless of how long you've had it. As a general guide, once opened, Bond & Seal performs best for around 2-6 months. Past that, the formula can lose consistency, which affects both how easily it applies and how long your lashes last.
Quick troubleshooting checklist
If your lashes aren't lasting, check whether you've done all of these:
Applied to clean, dry lashes (no oils or makeup)
Used a light layer of bond, less is more
Avoided water for the first 24 hours
Sealed daily to lock everything in place
Brushed gently each day to keep lashes fluffy
Checked that your bond & seal isn't clumpy, dry, or past its best
Working through this list resolves the vast majority of "my lashes aren't lasting" issues, it's very rarely the bond itself, but lets be real girl, you probably need a new bond & seal...
